BC Rivers Day began in 1980 with a volunteer clean-up beside the Thompson River. The range of events has grown dramatically since then with festivities held across the province celebrating clean water as well as raising awareness of threats to our waterways. Many groups join us in spreading the news of responsible stewardship.
This event always happens in the Fall of the year. Although we like to have the returning salmon here at the same time as the provincial event, Mother Nature does not always send the salmon home that early.
Please watch this space for an August update on this year's event date (September/October). E-mail or call us @ 604-885-4136 for further info, or to participate in this event.
