Sept. 19, 2009:
My whole life I wanted to see the miracle of the salmon. It is one of earth's incredible wonders. It was a beautiful sunny day in September 2009 when I had the chance to go to Chapman Creek and the hatchery near Sechelt. It had rained during the night so the Coho salmon could swim up the creek to find their place to spawn. We could see them very clear, even two having a rest about two meters away. After this, we visited the hatchery. There were water basins. You could see adult salmon and the young salmon in several stages before being released in the wild. The volunteers of Chapman creek hatchery are great.
Thank you,
Ditte Hunsche, The Netherlands
